This new global system needs some tweaks to make it so that every can't go in 24/7 however the old system old blocked asian regions from getting favor and regional distribution wasn't fair.
/notsigned
This system needs to be changed a little but changing it back to the way it was is NOT the answer.

It's like I said. I challenge Anet to remove loot scaling, just so we can see people whine about it.
on topic, /notsigned. As far as ectos go for currency, look at other gems. Otherwise, you have to agree that Anet is at least trying! to cater to players that wanted an easier way to access UW/FoW, after even making access scrolls.

/notsigned to the Nth degree.
Europeans had plenty of time abusing a system that they exploited to the fullest extent for the obvious but rarely acknowledged problem of PvP influencing PvE. Its high time there's a change. Don't like it? Adapt. Thats what you people who dont have a valid input always say, so now the balls in your court. Have fun.
This is the first update that anet implemented that i actually support in a long while.

I guess I don't understand what you're saying. It's my understanding that there is no territories with favor now. I thought it was global depending on the title thing. If the title count isn't met then noone in the world gets favor. When the title count is met then everyone in the world has favor.
Am I wrong?

Yeah i think its once 20 titles are maxed everyone in the universe gets 1 hour of favor, then +3 min after that.
I thought it was territories too, till i found out i was wrong :P

The old system was dumb. Imagine that acess to HA was restricted only to the teritorry that had, say, beaten Mallyx 4 times in a row. Stupid? Very. But that's exactly how the old system worked: acess to pve areas based on achievements of pvpers. Now it's the pvpers that work for themselves. Besides, favor is now global, which is a step in the right direction.

Why?
The old system actually gave HoH a purpose. It made it more of an honor for the PVP players to do something good for the rest of the community/their region. Now it's almost meaningless eventhough you still get your name pasted up.
It's not our fault, Taiwan and Japan don't play the game that much. It's not our fault that other places don't have the player base to form guilds/succeed.
Stop with the damn liberal thinking of "no one left behind" and be more conservative with the simple fact that YOU have the ability to set your own destiny. The players are there in other countries, they just have to want it more. Don't let those of us willing to work at it be punished.

Well, I understand where you're coming from, but what you're saying doesn't amount to a steamy pile of crap if you consider what that most of the complainers of the old favor method is most likely are PvE type of players. Ok, I have no factual proof for that statement, but just an educated guess when reading through posts over time.
So it's not about damn liberal blah, blah, blah thinking. It's mostly about why they heck should a part of the game I don't care about (PvP) influence what I do care about (PvE).

How were they abusing anything? How were they expoliting anything? They we're simply better at winning favor in the system that was designated for it. Don't try to disguise your shortcomings as "cheating" on the part of the other side. In my opinion there should be no other side at all, and the whole system is messed up.
BTW, American here.

The new favor system isn't perfect, but it does solve one problem and that's seperating PvE areas from the PvPers hands.

Great update! US, Japan and Taiwan all have a shot to have favor! US would only get it for a couple hours a day... Japan and Taiwan very rarely ever had it. Now it levels the playing field. Good decision ANet! I've loved all your updates... loot scaling (two thumbs up!), new Search function (two thumbs up!) etc....

may solve one problem but it adds others. the way it is right now they might as well just get rid of the favor system all together.
Needs a different solution to where everyone can get access but not 24/7

I agree. I would rather have a system that awarded it completely randomly than force geological hate and lame grind. Do that many people still care about this junk anyways? The awards are Fow/Uw (yawn) and lousy shine benefits. Who really cares?

Perhaps, but you can repeat missions again with a team for status points if you're all Gung Ho, and help other people get Masters at the same time. You cannot do Titles again. That was was the basis of my suggestion.
As it is this is just another sacrificial fire to The Lords of Grind.

Let see, the /Signed are being drowned in a sea of /Notsign. It appears support is for the favour system to not revert.
Oh that and the fact that we have had favour for almost the entire day.... Not working huh? I seriously doubt that people woke up this morning and said u know what lets grind for titles to get FOW access.
It would takem a day or two anyway, moral so far its working and its better all round then HoH favour
I myself have already voted /notsigned

Hey, guys,
We included this thread in the Communities Summary this week, but it occurs to me we have a clearer way of presenting this. Why doesn't someone simply make a thread that asks the simple question: Do you like the new Favor of the Gods System?" Or something of that sort?
The yes and no vote would tell us whether the players honestly feel it should be reverted.
